MacBook Pro Mid 2010 8GB Problems

Been trying to get some Corsair (supposedly MBP compatible) memory - CMSA8GX3M2A1333C9 - to work in the above system (MC375LL/A).

Tried all combinations of sticks, no joy. Just won't boot. Interestingly the particular MBP model is not specified as compatible on the corsair configurator, despite saying on the packet MBP compatibilty.

Any ideas or is it swap time?

Could be two duff sticks, would be rather unlucky tho.
