Macbook Pro questions :)

Hi guys,

I've got my eye on a macbook pro and I've heard that an update is soon to pop up. There was a mention of this LED technology used in the screens. Anyone got any idea what to expect? Better battery life etc? When can we expect an update?

Someone here ordered a Macbook Pro recently and from I understanding the order was delayed - which for him led to the assumption that Apple are waiting for the new macbooks to come in before shipping his item out.

I recently called Apple sales and they mentioned I could get a better deal if I rang up. Does anyone have any experience of this? I normally just order online with the HE discount.

I'm in the same boat as you, Apple has it's WWDC on the 11th June to the 15th June when the iPhone is officially released in the US. Apple are due for updates on both the Macbook Pro and the iMac, but weather or not they will show something new at this WWDC or wait until the release of Leopard I don't know. Hope something new is released though. There is so many rumours at the moment, the LED screens, quad core MBP's, black iMac's, NAND drives ect.

I'm going to wait until the WWDC to see what is released to be on the safe side, it will be my first Mac purchase.
