So I've got out the old MBP because I'm going to be working abroad for 14 months but I just noticed it only has a stingy 1gb ram. I want to add a 2gb stick but I don't know if there's any specific type of ram it needs or which DDR it is.
EDIT: Ok so I found that it's 667 MHz 1GB DDR2. I found a 2GB stick, but would it be better for me to buy 2x2GB at a higher MHz? Apparently the laptop is 64bit but is only capable of 32bit memory reading so I'd be losing a bit of ram, but would the upgrade in speed be noticable or will the extra capacity be enough?
