Macbook Pro random restarts?

I make pretty heavy use of my lovely MBP - it's normally running Seti@Home 24/7 - but it's been randomly restarting recently.

My first idea is that it's due to overheating - anyone seen similar issues? It's a first gen MBP - 1.83Ghz, bought in July (from the Apple refurbished store) - can't remember if they had any issues or not.

The fans seem to work alright, although it does get hot - are there any utilities around to monitor temps/fans on OS X?

Any advice gratefully received...even if it's "just phone Apple, n00b" :)

Do you thing its got anything to do with these random reboots that macs keep having? I had to update my Girlfriends macbook to stop random reboots happening.

dont know if its 100% true or not but i heard that the last versions of MBP prob's , before the new ones, some had a problem with the board inside where it would reset randomly, best phoning apple really!

not sure what could be causing the restart sorry :(
Thanks :) - 80 degrees

Found a fan speed controller thingy which has brought it down to 70 degrees, which also makes it possible to hold. Looks like Apple set the fan speeds to conservatively.

Ooh thanks, I'll give them a phone if it plays up again:)
