macbook pro strange fault

Hi i have a macbook pro it has a strange fault i can turn it on and use it all functions work fine one day the next day i press the power button and its completely dead i can leave a few day hit the power button and works fine sometimes its a few days but it will come back on

Any ideas im completely lost.

Faulty power button would be my guess... I've not had this problem on my MBP but on previous laptops I had this exact issue and it turned out to be a faulty power button (loose connection). Not sure what you'd do to rectify this? If you popped into an Apple store they might be able to help you out - and if its a 10 min job they might do it for free if out of warranty.
