Macbook Pro vs Alienware OLED

anyone used the new MBP and gamed on it?
Anyone got an alienware M15r2 OLED?
Tempted to pick up the alienware but oled is only offered in the white version and i prefer black.


my dad's MBP died. He'll take my 2014/15 MBP off my hands. that leaves me able to upgrade.

Ideally I'd want an OLED laptop as I love HDR and just want the best in class display quality. I was eyeing up alienware due to dell customer support but they dont offer it in a good colour for me. Razer blade? I've heard their QA sucks..
 
What's the main usage of this laptop?

What's your budget?

Screen size?

Is battery life important?

Is screen quality a higher priority than components?
 
I have M15r2 OLED with a 2080 max-q and I love it. The screen is awesome - could never go back to an LED imo.

HDR implementations on laptops aren't that great though as they aren't treated as external displays like on a PC. For example I cannot get HDR to work on any Uplay game for some reason. Does work ok for other games though. But worth noting even non HDR games look SO MUCH better.
 
I don't have the Alienware but I have the same OLED screen in my Dell XPS 15 and it's a thing of beauty. I play less demanding games like D3 on it and the pop to the image is incredible.
 
I really like it. I can't compare though. With the OLED model it comes with tobii eye tracking which has a function to use your eyes as part of your mouse workflow. I found it annoying and had to turn it off but it's one of those things where you only have to turn it off once I suppose.
