Hoping someone can give me some pointers.
In the last couple of days Internet connectivity has slowed to a crawl.

From my desk, and via the same WiFi network I'm getting 66Mbps on my Apple iPhone compared to just 4Mbps on my laptop.

Can anyone suggest what I should be checking?

Thanks.

Hold down alt and click on the Wi-Fi logo, it should give you some additional information about the connection.

Thanks for tip although it's not doing anything (assuming you're referring to the WiFi icon up in the menu bar).

I do have a question - I was in the US a little while back, and even now when using Facebook or YouTube I'm still getting US ads. I'm not being routed via some DNS server in the states by any chance? Would explain the poor speeds.

Might be a daft question!? :)

By the way I just tried using the Alt key and that gave me some additional diagnostics.

Yeah, I couldn't remember the exact key but that should help you troubleshoot.

You probably have US based cookies on the machine. Reset Safari and it should be fine :)
