I have an old Macbook Pro, a firstgen one, that is refusing to boot into windows. I have XP installed via Bootcamp and it's been running fine for many years. However recently, when I try to boot the machine, it will get to the XP load bar and then blue screen, however, the blue screen text goes away too quickly to see what it says.
On my Macbook I can use the remote to open up the OS selection screen on startup, does this work for the old Pro's as well?
Any ideas what could be causing the problem? My main concern is checking the XP partition to see if there is anything important on there.
EditL Hmm, ah it seems holding down the option key should work so I'll give that a try.
