Hey,
My dad had an iMac for a short period of time and I was really interested in having a play with it. The main reason I've kept using Windows is because of my games. I cannot play FPS such as COD4 on my ps3 because I prefer keyboard and mouse.
If I give up my Windows PC it means giving up pc gaming for at least a year, however recently I've not played pc games that much. I've been building websites and working through the constant flow of uni work. I've only really played COD4 and Orange box. Even then I only played SP with maybe 20 hours of MP. The Macs just seem a lot more... sexy. Don't really know how else to describe it haha. Don't get me wrong, I can live with Vista but Macs just seem to have programs which are polished, even the free ones you can find.
Anyway, to my point. Is it worth buying a MacBook Pro now or waiting until say June/July time? I've heard June is when the new iPhone will be announced so I'm guessing there is an Apple event around then and they might do some price drops or new models. I'm looking at the 15" 2.4GHz model. I think they're bending you over the table to be asking for an extra £300 for 0.1GHz more.
Does anyone know the figure for higher education discount too?
Thanks.
P.s. how much do you think I could get for a custom built (used obviously), C2D E6600, 4GB DDR2 RAM with 8800GT?
