Is it worth getting 4GB of ram for a macbook or is 2GB going to be enough, looking to take advantage of the free postage at the mo and get some ram sorted before I get the new macbook next week. For general internet / office work and itunes etc is 4GB going to be beneficial or is 2GB going to be enough, dont want to end up getting 2GB just to then go up to 4GB at some point later.

2Gb is more than enough. I quite happily used my MacBook Pro on 1Gb for 12 months. Had 512Mb when it shipped and quickly upgraded to 1Gb. Upgraded to 2Gb when the price dropped through the floor about 12 months ago and can't tell much difference in normal use unless I have a couple of virtual machines running.

4Gb from Apple is a rip-off at the moment. Much cheaper to buy it in from someone like OcUK and remove the factory fit RAM.
