What is the easiest way to record audio onto my macbook?

Audio output is from from a mixer via phone.

Any simple way to do it? I only want to record an mp3 of a mix I DJ on Friday. :)

You want to take it from the mixer's recording outputs (failing this take it from master 2 or something), anything that's line level - headphone's aren't. Then you want a decent interface so it doesn't sound horrible with all the interference generated by the computer.

How much do you have to spend?

Yeh it'll be coming from 2nd output. :)

As little as possible :p

Audacity will handle the audio capture.

That's if you're taking it straight from source -> Mac, although it'd probably be better to hire a CD burner and just take a direct stereo output.
