macbook to desktop

Hi I want to use my macbook on my big 24" monitor so i bought the dvi adapter.

Do i need any software or other hardware now or can i now connect a usb keyboard and mouse to it and close the lid and use it as my desktop. cheers.

As far as I know, go ahead and close it and plug in your keyboard and mouse. It should work fine. It has done for me, although I do need to get a new adapter as I have upgraded from a white MacBook to a Unibody MacBook.

When on mains with a USB keyboard or mouse attached the MacBook will stay on when you close the lid.

Works out the box, baby! Boom!
