hello all , just got me new macbook first time using mac well impressed , enough of that , a couple of questions maybe being stupid ,

when i use the remote i can play loads of "theatrical trailers" on the mac but what i am wondering is ,with there being about 25 are they on my macbook ie stored on there , if so i cant find them or are they a live strem from quicktime as i dont mind having them but if they are my hd i would like to get rid ,

q2 is there anyway when i close the lid on my mac book but have it conected to my tv for watching dvds that it wont put the macbook to sleep , is this in system pref

q3 why did i not change to mac sooner lol !! :D

Firstly, welcome to the world of Macs and your turn away from the dark side. :)

The QT trailers are streams. As a matter of interest, next year iTunes will be offering a movie and TV download service adn of course you can rip DVDs to your hard drive if you want.

With an external monitor the Macbook shouldn't sleep with the lid closed, it automatically recognises the external device. I am not sure if the same can be said for TVs, how are you connecting them?

As for q3, as I always say, once you've had Mac, you don't go back! :)

and,of course, the Apple website.

Remember that when an external monitor is used, you need to have the laptops power supply connected :) If just using the battery it will go to sleep.
