I currently have a sony Vaio Laptop 1.73 Processer centrenio with 512mb memory.

I at the moment fancy a upgrade. I have been looking at the macbook 2ghz due core with 1gb memory. I know we can really compare them with a new laptop since the Mac use different OS.

I always fancy giving a Mac OS a try and can anyone say are Mac more stable and faster than Windows and Laptop?

Also on the Mac can I use MSN?

Cheers

On a MacBook, you can dual boot into Windows.

And there is also a messenger available for the Mac. I will try to find it out for you.

MacBook's give you the best of both, OSX and Windows.

Im close to ordering a MacBook / iMac :)

i never reboot my iBook - except for updates (and not even all of them).

It is always on - Apple have very good sleep/hibernation support. I close the lid it sleeps - I open the lid it is awake.

That what i do with my laptop how when you open it how long it take to wake? But just out of interest how long does it take to boot

from a cold boot the new Intel Macs take under 10 secs usually

Picked up a macbook yesterday and am very very impressed! Thinking of getting a mac mini to replace my PC as I just don't play games like I used to.

If anyone is near birmingham then its worth heading to selfridges, I saved over a hundred quid on the top end white macbook compared to the apple store about 100m away :)

Oddly enough, installing Vista (and the problems doing so and subsequently) was a big factor in making my decision!!!
