macbook white missing items?

Hi

Just got my niece a macbook white and it doesn't have the remote? Am I correct to assume that the remote does not come with the white macbook and ilife trial is only available once its gets recovered with the cd as its not on the oem hdd image?

Yup, remotes don't come with it any more, you have to pay extra for it.

iLife will be pre-installed on the machine, and if you need to re-install it, it will be on the Leopard install disks.

spotlight finds ilife sound effects but no .dmg file nor anthing else for it; I have a better look for it later as its all wrapped up now. Shame about the remote I just need to give her one of mine. It does come with an apple cleaning cloth that looks quite funky but no sub for a remote.

It has itunes, firefox, ms messager and word; everythinga 17 year old girl needs...

iLife is just a package that has iMovie, iPhoto, iDVD, iWeb and GarageBand.

If these are all installed, then it's there.
