macbook wifi internet not working.

ive just had virgin install 100mb.

my macbook is connecting to the wifi network but internet is not working. it works via ethernet but not wifi.

ipad works fine through wifi and my pc works fine too.

ive not altered any setting in the hub bar login details.


because everything else is working it must be the macbook. its a late 2010 model.

anyone any help please?

Is the macbook set to DHCP, and if so is it successfully getting an IP address?
Are you able to ping the routers IP and/or see anything else on the local network?

ah, it is fixed.

i checked dhcp and it was set to manual with an ip set for it.

i changed this to auto and it has worked

i must have changed it long ago and forgot.

thanks was pulling my hair out over it.
