Macbooks /Pros with 8600m issues?

Been known about for a while, affects all brands using Nvidia Laptop GPUs only applies to the Macbook Pro and maybe the iMac in Apple's case.
 
Doesn't seem to have affected mine just yet but if it does within my 3-year apple care warrenty I should have a strong case for an upgrade on Apple.
Until it happens I'm not going to worry too much.

I mentioned this here before.

I have the istat plugin on my Dashboard. It has the GPU temps showing around 60C when exiting a basic game in VMWARE with XP. No idea if this is normal. I was concerned originally as the mbp in general is quite hot, but from reading around this is across the board and not just because of the GPU.

Some companies like Dell have made BIOS updates available to alleviate or fix the issues (Although they can't fix what is essentially a hardware issue). I imagine Apple would issue a system update if needed or would have to recall all the machines.

Mine idles around 50 as well. I meant it is well over 60 when playing games. Not really into graphics cards etc but 50 at idle seems a bit high to me (and over 60 in games).
