You can get a Mach II GT for that, dont just buy a stock MachII for that amount of cash.

And to spend £410 to "test" stuff with is a complete waste.

thank you mightynimrod :)

yer i didnt even know there was 2 types.......been on vapochill only
need to do my homework i think

If you really wanted a Mach II then look around carefully - they can be bought for £200 ish, sometimes even less.

They are superb though - got my A64 3500 to 3ghz when i ran mine.

That was the non-GT model, the GT model uses different refridgerant to get lower sub zero temps, the downside to this is the compressor is hotter and thus the fan needs to be ran faster (louder)

yes thank you very much mightynimrod :)

u been huge help....found uk retail for Mach 2 GT
i also see 1000W psu lol....wonder if there usefull

The forums are a great source of info for MachII's on that site - ive been on there since the 1st day they were up.

Sports the UK's best benchmarker who clashes heads with the rest of the world using just a Mach II GT, watercooling and volt-modded 256mb 7800GTX's - guys names Maverick, also a bloke on there called Fatty who can re-gas, and modify prommies with chilly1 heads (even better cooling)

They are the guys to speak to regarding prommies.

The 1kw psu's are beasts arent they-overkill but beastly all the same :D

X2 plus SLI/Crossfire says yes, my OCZ Powerstream 600W no longers cuts it :(

Now using a 700W Epsilon with quad 12V rails.

1KW would give plenty of overhead for overclocking an X2 on phase if you were also using dual GPUs.

might look at getting a Mach 2 GT for testing
i have Enermax Noisetaker 600W....been good for [email protected] & FX60@3440ghz
but i need more volts....i get 1.77 thru X2 & 1.71 only on FX60

u think thats mobo or psu problem?

Could be a regulation problem on the MB, or the PSU not being to provide sufficient power. The Asus A8N32-SLi Deluxe has some mean power regulation circuits on it apparently.

Certainly my 600W PSU gave up once I add SLI to an X2 at 2.7GHz @ 1.45V.
