Mach II GT Dilemma

I am sitting here with an almost silent setup, running my 4400 x2 @ 2.44GHz. Now I was moving some stuff about and remembered my dead Mach II GT, tested it and low and behold it happily got down to temp with none of the issues that got it sidelined.

No should I loose the silence for the –40ºc? Anyone with a good idea of what stable speeds are likely?

So tempted to play again, im sure my gtx would love the 172w pelt (yes I have 24v power supply for it) and water setup I have kicking around too, but the noise from the GT and maintenance of the whole thing is putting me off…

I had a X2 that was Prime stable at 2.5GHz on air then 2.9GHz on a LS, I would expect similar with the GT.

The question is, can you put up with the noise and will it make it significantly better to justify it?

I always found the GT to be fairly quiet unless you've modded it.
If set on Normal fan speeds its not too bad.

Its up to you mainly though, currently i'm on air and as much as i hate to say it i'm very happy. But i'll soon have my mach 2 set up for benching, not sure i could stand just letting it sit around doing nothing.
