If you've got $50 burning a hole in your Paypal account, maybe some software purchasing is just the thing to quench that flame. As of midnight Tuesday, the Macheist 2 bundle is available for purchase. Although there may be some additional announcements along the way (as there were with the MacUpdate bundle), the apps bundled at the start of sales include:

* ChaChing
* 1Password
* Awaken 4.5
* iStopMotion
* CoverSutra
* TaskPaper
* AppZapper
* CSSedit, if target sales are reached
* Snapz Pro, if targets reached
* Pixelmator, as we noted earlier, if targets reached

The Awaken and CoverSutra packages are exclusive versions for Macheist, so we're told. Whatever the relative merits and drawbacks of the app-bundle approach for the ISVs involved, the value of this bundle to the consumer (even if you already own one or two of the apps) is not really debatable. Note that at least a couple of the apps are 10.5 only, and the list on Macheist is definitive (so if you saw something here or in the comments that's not on the Macheist site -- go with what they're listing).

Well this is certainly just as much value as MacHeist 1 and i've already bought my bundle! :D

Ah well, its still worth its money. You get a sneak peak at coversutra 2, by the way!

EDIT: You can also gift licenses if you already own one.

It certainly does look nice, compared to all the other finance apps i've ever used. Just need to wait for my license to come through now so I can have a proper play with it! :D

Well the combination of Coversutra (2, which is what you get with MacHeist) and spotlight have left me to ditch quicksilver.

Pixelmator for me, is much quicker and easier than using photoshop for small jobs.

I listen to a lot of streaming radio, and often use it to fall asleep too. I didn't know about awaken before MacHeist. It's certainly helped me out as I had a problem with how to turn radio off after an hour. (And turn it on to wake me up, for that matter)

Appzapper is pretty useful, although there are better types of un-installation software (CleanUp2.0)

CSSEdit is brilliant. End of. (If you like making websites :-))

They have to sell another 400 to unlock it, but everyone will get it. Whether you bought before or after it is unlocked.

They have now added an 11th piece of software..."Speed Download"

Didn't work.

The new serials must be longer because it doesn't even acknowledge the old one as being old, and it won't let me press "Register" :(

Thats quite odd. I know I had some problems registering my code CoverSutra but got it to work eventually. Have you tried looking at your serials again. Not the ones in the email but the ones on the site? They had some problems with the serial numbers I believe.

I would also get into the debate about the amount of money macheist are making compared to the developer, but I don't want to because its a big argument. All I will say is the same as has been said above. Its not 100% about the money. They get lots of marketing out of it too. If they didn't think it was worth their while they wouldn't have signed the dotted line.

LaunchBar and Notesomething, never used either of them. You need to have invited 3 people to MacHeist to unlock them both.
