Macheist 3 has begun

What's it all about? I had a quick look but can someone explain it in a single sentence?
 
It culminates in a cheap collection of Mac software at the end. Big savings. Whilst it's going I think it is some kind of treasure hunt.
 
Ahh OK. Is there a way to get the final collection without having to leap through all the hoops?
 
got a bit confused there, i bought it last year but it was a big bundle of stuff with a few extra things if certain targets were met...

don't really see whats happening this year...
 
MacHeist usually gets announced early so that participants can get ahold of additional software for free that is not included in the bundle by doing a number of puzzles. Once you've done all the puzzles, you will get a discount to use on the actual MacHeist bundle when it comes out :p
 
Does anyone else not have a bleedin' clue whats going on with that puzzle?
