On the road....
A while back, I upgraded my PC to 2.5GB Using Oc/UK Value DDR 400 RAM, so I currently have 2x1GB Oc/UK RAM & 2x256MB Geil Value DDR400 RAM

Ever since then I get regular lock ups, usually once every 2-3 hours and it only happens while I'm enjoying a good game of Battlefield 2 or getting nice lap times R-Factor:mad: -it never seems to happen when I'm doing bad!!! :p:o - Sods law!

I've narrowed the problem down to the RAM as the problem dissapears when I put my 1GB (4x256) back into the rig or indeed, have just left the 2x256MB Geil RAM sticks in place. If I remove the Geil RAM and just have the Oc/UK stuff in, the lockups persist.

Trouble is, I have ran Memtest and the like to exhaustion and am bringing up no errors with the 2GB Oc/UK RAM what so ever.

I've tried the RAM in different slots and it is currently (according to my POST screen) running in Dual Channel mode.

Any advice appreciated thanks.

Interesting stuff, thanks for the replys. :)

I'll try to relax things a bit (he says like the expert he isn't!) and see how things go. :D
