Basically - WTF?!?!?

Where has my device manager B***ered off to, and how do I get it back?

And is there another way of bringing it up - need to get at my sound card drivers as it's just gone awol! :rolleyes:

Can anyone remember the command to force windows to rebuild itself from the dvd? It basically compares windows on your desktop to what's on the DVD and rolls back - need some serious rebuilding, but really can't afford the time to reformat - again :rolleyes:

That was it! Cheers - must start writing all these things down - as it turned out I just went for a full re-install anyway (4 times - works at last :rolleyes:

I swear SCSI will be the death of me!) - just too many little things going wrong - still - nice shiny fresh copy now working beautifully - Thanks for all the help!
