Decided to start my own thread instead of hijacking the other!

PC Has been on for around 3/4 hours now.

Havent really done much with it, watched a dvd for around hour n half. Then basic web browsing etc.

System Temps;

Fractal 3000 Case.

2 intakes (140mm and 120mm)
1 Intake on the side 120mm
1 outake on the top 140mm
1 outake at the back 120mm

Granted the fans arent at 100% probably around 15/20% But should my temps really be like this?

The GPU might be high too, becuase its still connected to my TV via DVI/HDMI.

Looks fine. Room temp is key, if you have the heating on due to the cold weather then that won't be helping but all the temps are well within limits.

With regards to fans, depends how they are plugged in, maybe a power cable came undone?

Fans generally don't really pull enough juice to overload anything. Its more likely one of the first in the chain isn't quite seated correctly. But yes splitting them up isn't a bad idea anyways.

Yeah having all 5 on one and the speed of the fan controller near low, might be not getting enough juice!

Regarding the HDD's

In the Fractal there's two cages, top and bottom. I currently have them seated in the bottom try. Would it be better to sit them in the top tray, where its got a 140mm fan hitting it rather than a 120mm?

Ah I see, a fan controller. Yes you might of overloaded the channel depending on what it is rated for.

I wouldn't of thought there would be a huge difference in it, maybe a degree or two. Worth a go if you like tweaking things.

Might have a look next time i need to change something inside, it's not of vital importance.

Disconnected one of the fans and stuck it straight into the motherboard for the time being, shall keep an eye on it.

Could do with another PCI Fan controller now really.

Have the three fans that came with the case on the main fan controller, and the 2 new fans on a new controller. 5/6 Fans at 100 speed isn't a good thing! ;)

Adding another 2 140mm fans (Side intake and another outake on top)

What would be more effective CPU temp wise.

Side intake or top outake?

I think those idle temps are a bit hot for the 560ti, I remember reading reviews they are meant to run very cool.

Go to nvidia control panel and check if power management mode is set to adaptive or performance. If it is on performance change it to adaptive and your temps might lower a good bit.

Currently set at Adaptive.

Heres a new screenie. All case fans running at lowest RPM.

CPU Fan, is set at 10% up until 25C, then steadily climbs upto 100% at 70C

Have also ran Intel Burn test using the above settings for the CPU FAN.

Standard, 10 runs.

Core1-55C
Core2-60C
Core3-58c
Core4-56C
