Machine Will Not Turn On

I have my friends machine it turns on but nothing comes up on the monitor i just dont no what could be wrong.. any suggestions?? thanks

does the mobo supply the image or a GPU

Well, quite frankly you wouldn't get very far if it wasn't plugged into the Motherboard. Have you plugged in the PCI-e power cable?

yes the pci-e power cable is plugged in. he said its been working fine and it just happened this morning. so i tried my monitor and just nothing comes up. all the fans power up. doesnt even get to a post screen just nothing.

I would try removing the card and PCI-e cables and reinstall the card making sure that it is seated firmly in the slot, then reconnect the power cables to the card and try again. This happened to me once and the card was not making good contact , it may not solve the problem, but its worth a try.
