Hey everyone hope your all great!
My sister is currently fundraising money for Macmillan. She is going to be doing a 26mile hike across the moors to raise the money!
A few years ago my sister was diagnosed with cervical cancer and thankfully she has kicked its butt. Throughout the ordeal Macmillan were there at every step, through several radical surgeries and months of chemo and radio therapy. Macmillan were there like a second family to all of us.
Now my sister being the kind person she is wants to give something back to the charity.
Initially we kept the fund raising in the family and close friends but with the hike coming up in less than two weeks it seemed fitting to try and make a final push to get this deserving charity a bit of extra money to help another family out like they helped us.
Many of us have seen members of these forums pass decades before their time because of this horrible disease. So I thought Ocuk would be a fitting place to share as I believe everyone here understands how important the work these types of charity’s do for our friends and loved ones.
