MacPro now? Or wait?

Hi All,

Right,

I can infact buy a MacPro now if I want.

Now my PC is desperate for an update.

It's 2 years old. and I've been contemplating the idea for awhile.

Now I can either buy a MacPro now, or stick it out and wait for Leopard.

What do you guys think?
 
Leopard could be 4-6 months away - and when it comes it'll be a cheap and simple upgrade. I'd say buy now, or maybe wait three weeks to see if anything interesting is said at conference.

I just ordered a MacBook, as it's a new model I can't see there being any real changes until at least the middle of next year. The MacPro is ripe for an update though...
 
I'm thinking that they'll release a dual quad core Xeon option to coincide with the release of CS3. Unless you're getting a top-of-the-line model I'd say buy now.
 
I want to get a MacPro but I'm waiting until the latest Mac Conference in January '07.

It'll be then that they will say when the Quad-core MacPro is released.

I'm waiting.. it's up to you. Will you be gutted if you didn't wait the 3 extra weeks?

Apple always seem to do this whenever I buy something from them.

2 weeks after I bought my iBook they released the more powerful version for a cheaper price etc.

So annoying!!!!

:p But I love apple all the same, didn't know there was a developers conference in January '07, i'll wait 'n' see to see what they come up with.

didnt you just get the macbook 17" like i say, if you keep on waiting you will never get one, just go for it, you have to make the dive some time. my next desktop will be mac.

Yes, but i'm looking to update my Recording Studio with a Mac Pro in the new year :)

The MBP 17" was a Christmas present for myself :D;)
