Hi everyone,

Currently I have a 120 GB SSD (OS installed with a few games and other programmes) and a 1 TB HDD (games, music, videos etc.).

I have two spare external HDD (250GB and 1.5 TB)

Macrium Reflect (free version) should I backup (disk imaging) the 120 SSD to the 250GB HDD and I TB to the 1.5 TB; or is it better to just back up the two drives (120GB SSD & 1 TB HDD) to the 1.5 TB external HDD?

I'm confused as to how I restore if only one drive fails.

The destination doesn't matter, as long as the drive has enough free space.

You will end up with two .mrimg image files, one file for each drive.

Restoring a single image to a single drive is very straight forward. http://kb.macrium.com/KnowledgebaseArticle50079.aspx

Thanks for the reply. I just tried running through the recovery process myself, via the rescue disk I created. As you say, it seems very straight forward.
