Right, i am going to Clone part of a Drive which is a 500g HDD onto an SSD 250gig.

Now, it has 2 partitions, C: D: The D: is for data so not needed on SSD.

When i open Macrium it gives me several windows with little tick boxse by each one.

Now, is it just the one that says 4. os-(c) that i should make sure is ticked ready to clone or do i need to tick others like:

1. System (none) FAT32(LBA) Primary
2. Recovery (none) NTFS Primary
3. (none) Unformated Primary
4. See above
5. (none) NTFS Primary

6. Data (D:) I know this one should be unticked

7. Restore(none) NTFS Primary

So, is it just the one that is: 4. OS (c) that i need to clone the drive with the OS and all programs on? Do i need to clone the others too?

Thanks

Try doing just the OS, then remove the original hard drive.

Set the drive as primary boot drive. If it doesn't load windows, then use the macrium cd to 'fix boot issues' it's an option on boot.

I selected No: 4, the C: drive with the OS on and all went great! Thanks guys for your help.

Am I right in thinking that the other ones are not a necessity?
