'MACRO' pound coins

Had another play with my extension tubes. What do you think?

Doesn't do anything for me but I bet they're fun to play with, I'm not a fan of the lighting and lack of depth they're my gripes, more shots = more progress though.

lol 3rd from bottom is a two 'pound coin', yep used a tripod, remote shutter and flash.

Surely the fact it was thinner and obviously bigger, yet with a similar edge style would have made that obvious?

Yeah there's no 'R' on a one pound coin so had to improvise with a two pound coin to spell out the word 'MACRO'

I used a tokina 100mm f2.8 macro lens and a 31mm jessops extension tube, if not 31mm it was a 21mm.

yes, obvious that it's fake. i've seen about 400 pound coins (at one time) and 17 of them were fake. he said they were pound coins so i assumed it was a fake.

I used a 580EX mounted on the camera with a lightsphere diffuser attached to it. This shot would have really benefited from off camera flash as the camera was really, really close to the stack of coins so the flash was coming in from an acute angle. I would have preferred to bring the light more central with more distance from the coins.

haha, I listed all the letters that were available on a one pound coin to see what words I could come up with and just decided to go for the word MACRO with the help of a two pound coin.
I put a little border on the top and bottom too lol.
