MacUpdater - I love it, anyone else using it?

With you on all 3 points. I get that they have to make money on it, but that statement is just sticking two fingers up a decent paying customers.

Never mentioned until an app update today, so their cry of "everyone knew" is hogwash.

Will start with Latest and might finally dig into Homebrew etc now.

Definitely paid a couple of times for Mac updater though. It _was_ that good!

Shame, as it was a really handy app especially for those apps that don't have built-in updaters. But i don't doubt it was a huge amount of work keeping it all maintained and i wouldn't be surprised if majority of the users didn't pay for it.

Is there anything else like it outside of the usual package managers like Homebrew (already use brew but it doesn't support all the apps i use)?

Yup, i didn't know anything about this until i opened the app today and there was the 3.5 update stating they're discontinuing the app.
