As title. I don't know if ppl here will find this useful, but I replaced all the original fans with four zalman 80mm and and mounted them using the soft rubber grommets. Initially, when I first turned it on, it hummed loudly which I traced to the fan in the top of the case. I disconnected it and, voila, near instant silence. the only thing now is isolate the case from it's surroundings, its sitting in a wooden cabinet, on a wooden floor and I can feel the vibes physically coming up through the desk. I tried buying some of those noise isolating feet from a certain site, but that was a no go, so I'm off to see if I can get summat similar and cheap to try as well.
I'm keeping an eye on temps, but I ran prime95 for a coupla hours and the temp never went over 35 degrees C, but that was in a moderately cool environment. Incidentally, I've got an X1900XT in me case as well, and other than start up, I can hardly hear the fan running, and thats with four very quiet fans, so I'll mention this fact in the graphic card forum.
Hope someone finds this useful.

Common knowledge how to silence a 201 :p

There have been enough years to perfect the art, although personally I find using Zalman fans throughout to be audable.

To solve the vibration, get some heavy duty bubble wrap, or gel sachets, place under all the feet and it will instantly sort your vibration issues.
