Just gone and ordered Photoshop....

Wallet is now crying but as PSP XI is heading into directions that I don't like and having tried Photoshop CD2 demo I didn't find it as revolting as I remembered.

Any suggestions for books/online tutorials that I can use or buy to help me learn CS2.

Ta. :D

I can't believe you didn't make the move earlier ?!?!

Two books worth checking out :
- Adobe PhotoShop CS2 for Photographers by Martin Evening
- The Photoshop CS2 Book for Digital Photographers by Scott Kelby

1) PSP 7, 8, 9 and X did what I wanted.
2) PSP 7, 8, 9 and X were 1/5 - 1/10th the price of PS
3) Still don't like the way PS looks - but I'll get used to it.
4) PSP XI is just plain revolting.

So it's more PSP's failing that have pushed me over to PS rather than PS drawing me across...

Any of the Dummies books good for CS2? I've always liked the way they are down to earth. ;)

Only thing I'm not too keen on about PS is the memory resources it takes up. Even when you close images down it still seems to hang on to memory.

I've got the Scott Kelby (for CS2) and Martin Evening books (though it's for PS7, but flicking through the CS2 version it seems very similar - same photos etc.), I find the Kelby book great for beginners, if you want to know how to do something just flick to the section and you are taken through it step by step.

Martin Evenings book though fantastic in itself seems a bit more indepth and requiring some previous knowledge of what buttons do what etc.

I'd recommend Scott Kelbys book to start.

Good luck with CS2 - it's an amazing package!
