Madness on Wheels: Rallying's Craziest Years

Like the footage of the Le Mans crash, its something I knew had happened, but didn't really need to see it.

A very good documentary though. It does provide a more clear view on the situation and show that crowd control (or a lack of) and the FIAs attitude were more to blame than the cars themselves.

Yeah watched this last night on BBC four, Worth a watch. The bit with the two guys getting interviewed about being ran over by one of the cars annoyed me, One of the guys point blank blamed the driver. Knowing for a fact he and everyone else was standing on or very very near the track with a car going past right on the edge of control, Other guy "It was our own fault"

Control back then of the crowds was pretty silly, One of the drivers talking about going sideways and hearing thump thump thump as people bounce off the car. Shocking really.

Also the remains of that Lancia  :(
