What... no Thread for people playing Madworld yet ??

Ok, I'll start !!

So... anyone picked this up ?
I have to say I am SUPER impressed with it.
Sure its not really anything more than an old skool beat-em-up with some completely over the top finishing moves, but MY GOD the feeling of fun while you play it is immense.
It doesn't pretend to be anything other than what it is and is unashamed while it does it. (Much like No More Heroes in that respect)
Even the commentators that I thought would get annoying and I would turn off are not all that bad.

And the Black Baron is just class for those who've played it

I did very nearly preorder it but it just felt... strange buying something for the Wii. I know it sounds stupid but i just felt like something must be wrong, i'm not used to wanting to buy a Wii game, it felt like it just MUST be rubbish cos it's on the wii. Hopefully i'll be able to remind myself that they did used to make great games for the Wii, get over past annoyances and just buy the sodding thing.

Doesn't help that i'm a bit short of cash and really want Resi 5 too

I was very excited about this game for a while but my hype for it has died down since reading reviews. I got the impression that I'll be done with it in a few days so I will give it a rent first.

I heard it was short if you just want to play from start to finish. I guess that is a turn-off for some.

But I'm replaying each level a few times and then I'll play it on the hard mode (which it supposedly really tough)

I guess you get out of it as much as you want to find ?

I picked it up today. On the second district now.

Is fun to play and I'm enjoying playing my Wii!

EDIT - Asian Town is kickass!

Really finding it a lot of fun now! It's a game to play with mates i reckon. It;s great doing a sick finish and all your mates are in awe! Haha!

I know what you mean about enjoying the Wii again.
It seems that good stuff is quite far and few between that when you do pick up something good with very well done waggly controls, it just adds an extra something

Having a lot of fun with it so far. The Black Baron makes me laugh every time.

Some of the kills are just awesome. There's a lot of repetition when you're trying to rack up the score, but it never seems to get boring.

The boss battles are fantastic too, if a little fiddly at times. LOVED doing the wiimote/nunchuck waggling at the end of the Cowboy boss when Jack is blasting with both guns.
