Hi

Ive got a problem with my car and its being diagnosed as the MAF sensor, very easy job I can swap the part myself but can anyone recommend me somewhere that sells them, All the local garages are quoting £90 for them.
Ive been on ebay and the ones for sale are only for petrol models

Thanks

Unfortuanlte Bosch MAFs are quite possibly the worst component they make and even replacing with a genuine one will see it out of spec in a matter of months especially if this weather keeps up.

£90 for one though is a bargain but check it is genuine BOSCH and not some chinese rip off.

To fully diagnose that it is the MAF, unplug the eletrical plug to the MAF. You're car will rev its **** off. :) and will confirm for sure.

Yep, the garage tryed that with some electrical cleaner in a parts washer then air blasted it dry. Worked great for 10 mins then went back to been crap

£90 is very good for one.

They're usually about £300.

As for doing it yourself, you can, but if your dealer does it they'll reset the ECU's map to factory tune. It'll settle in quicker, at the moment it'll be a bit off because it doesn't know how much air it's been getting.

£300 !!

Ill give Ford a ring monday, see how much they charge.

£90 was from Andrew Page for a Bosch

EDIT: If the dealer re-sets my ECU ill loose my re-map, back to 115 bhp
