Mafia 2 Slow Mo Bug

Bought mafia 2 yesterday as I remembered playing it on the ps3 and fancied playing it before the new one come out. I wondered why it was so hard to buy online but found it on gaming dragons for 7 pound. Was enjoying it then came to a point where your wanted by the police the game goes into ultra slow mo. I googled it and found it was a common problem, but it said leave it for two minutes and it will come out of it. Which it did. But next time police turned up again it went straight back into it. Anybody had any experience with it? I did email them asking for a refund and im waiting for a reply.

I had the bug once on 5 play through use a previous save win.

I've got the same bug, not found a workaround for it yet!

I never had this bug and I'm the worlds biggest Mafia 1 and 2 fan! its meant to go into slow mo the first time you get wanted (when you steal that cream coloured car outside the lockpick shop) but it only lasts 5 seconds or so. So yours gets stuck in slowmo?

Make sure you pick the lock on the car rather than smash the window maybe? Uninstall and reinstall physx? Verify game cache integrity?

Well i googled the problem and it said about it only lasting a couple of minutes then disappears so i tried it again and it did. Problem is next time i was in trouble with the law it started all over again. I'm not trying to play a game where that happens every time. Ive tried all different types of settings people recommended to no success. Really like the game as well.

It's meant to happen on the first part where you steal your first car, it's part of the game. After a good 20 seconds it works fine, or it's meant to.
