2K's UK twitter account has just announced the announcement of Mafia 3. The announcement will take place next week, on August 5. Of course, some would argue that the announcement of the announcement of Mafia 3 was, if you think about it, inherently an announcement of Mafia 3. Those people clearly don't know how announcements work.

PATCH 1.01 READY FOR DOWNLOAD
UPDATE [10/8 / 3PM PT]: PC players, reboot Mafia III because patch 1.01 is now available for download. This patch includes 30, 60, and unlimited frames-per-second options on PC. To select your framerate, just head to the display menu in-game. Just make sure to tailor the framerate settings to the power of your machine. This patch also includes improvements to keyboard remapping, so head to the controls menu to check out the options. Note: this patch resets keyboard mapping to default, so any changes you made to the controls previously will need to be customized after installing the patch.

We aren’t done with fixes and updates and will continue to listen to our community for ways to improve your experience in New Bordeaux. And check here to see what content updates we have in the works, including outfit swapping, races, and more.

The Getaway I think.

Just searched for that on Youtube and it's alright. I would love a British gangster game set in the 50-60's. I preferred the setting in Mafia compared to GTA so would like it to remain in America where it naturally sits. Moreover, I just tend to like games that people hate, for example Kayne and Lynch. :D

Btw i strongly recommend Saboteur while we wait for this! Great story, great game.

That was more military resistance was it not? It was a good gaame nevertheless but I want some proper gangster **** lol with all the stereotyping thrown in. :D

Skip to 5:30 if you don't want to hear the introductions

We've reached the end of our month of content rounding out our November cover story on Mafia III from Hangar 13. We've had features detailing gameplay, the founding of the studio, and the real-world mob presence in New Orleans, but we wanted to open the floor to the fans of the Mafia franchise out there and give them a chance to ask Mafia III's creative director Haden Blackman anything they'd like. We pulled dozens of questions from the community and Skyped in Blackman to answer questions about why the team chose such a new setting for the franchise, how the world compares to Mafia II, and which lingering questions from the franchise will be addressed.

We hope you enjoy the special edition podcast below, and be sure to tune in on Thursday for the regularly scheduled Game Informer Show! You can listen to the episode below or subscribe and listen to the audio on iTunes.

So then bets on the next game to run in an unsatisfactory state for PC on release? My money is on BF 1.

Prepare to lose your money. :D

BF1 ran great, DX12 was awful though

Didn't LA Noire have a 30FPS cap because of the revolutionary facial animations and car physics. Is this why Mafia 3 is locked too?
