Mafia games?

Tried a search but not much info, just wondering if anyone can recommend anymore mafia based games no matter how old, been playing godfather 2 and gta looking for something along those lines if anyone has any thoughts.
 
The city of lost heaven, was a good game, but nowadays there arent any decent mafia style games

Mafia the city of lost haven was awesome and you could mod it like crazy, used to make my own cars, theres also a online multiplayer mod for it too, beta only though
 
Really enjoyed the first Mafia. At first it felt like a pedantic GTA clone, but once you mastered the driving / speeding elements, it held a strange charm. The race car section was brutally, mercilessly hard. I must have spent a minimum of 20 hours attempting to fluke a win. Wipeout had nothing on the sheer mental training this game put me through.

I'm looking forward to the sequel.

i dont know why people found it so hard i did it first try. i just kept slightly cutting the corners at the chicane so i went through it in a straight line rather than treating it like a corner as that was the only place on the track the computer cars seemed to be abnormaly fast.

the devs nerfed that race in the patch anyway
 
Mafia is one of my favourite pc games ever it really was that good.

Anyone know when part 2 is coming out? seems to keep getting delayed?

I did it second try, and i'm really no racing genius... :confused:

I had way more difficulty with some of the car chase scenes that requires the dexterity of a gibbon in order to disables someones vehicle while travelling at 50mph.
 
mafia 2 does look good, i didnt like godfather2. the switch between dons view and real world was cool and executions but thats it really :/ fairly linear

The problem with that race was that you could be in the lead after the first few corners, but by the 3rd lap or so, I'd actually just lose concentration through sheer bordom (I'm just talking about the race here, the game is an utter classic). In the end, I had to do it in stages - do one lap and walk away for a few minutes, do another lap, etc ;)
