bit of a long shot but here goes;
Does anyone know if there is a way to add some sort of validation to the custom product text field in magneto .
Basically i need to be able to import a database of names that could make up a single product.
There needs to be some sort of validation on this form.
rough example - A T-shirt allowed to be customised so they select the product white v neck and are allowed to put any cutom wording on it from the libary of over 5000 images/worlds. A drop down of the 5000 options is not ideal.

Is there any way of cross checking the customer’s text with the data that resides in the database to enable them to go onto purchase this custom item?
