Is Maggs some kind of tuning company for Rovers?

I ask becuase I always walk past a Rover (216 or similar?) on the way too the shops. On the back it says "Maggs Rover". Got some kind of body kit on it, nothing to over the top.

Anyway I ask becuase I finally saw it take off today. And god did it take off. Going up a hill it must have done 0-40~ in just a few seconds and made a very loud roar.

It didn't have that kit on it did it? Might have had a different rear bumper to match the front.

Never heard of Maggs before. That kit (which was fitted to most 216 GTi's) is the Roversports kit. Seriously smart and seriously hard to get hold of... especially a rear bumper (not in the picture) for the 400's :(

Probably a DOHC 16v Honda unit if it was the 216 GTi.

Similar,

Was a bit fatter if that makes any sense. If i pop down the shops tomorrow or whenever I'll get a snap of it.

Like i said the back of the car is totally bare, but where you'd expect a rover badge it just says "Maggs Rover". Could just be a local dealership for all i know!

And my rover knowladge is pretty pants so it might not be a 216 :p it's just that kind of shape.

Yes.

What's wrong with that?

It isn't "seriously smart" That's whats wrong with the statement ;)

An A4 S-Line is seriously "smart".

That rover just looks like a (pretty decent) factory fit sport option, but doesn't look "smart" to me :)

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all that ;)

To me, an A4 S-Line just looks like every other A4 out there. Just like to most people, the Rover above looks just like every other Rover.

You see, we all have different tastes. That's the beauty of this forum :)
