I’ve bought one of these from Amazon.
I’m a little worried it might be a fake because it doesn’t feel like the ”Apple” quality I’d expect for the price you pay.
Is there an easy way to tell if its fake?

When I plug it in and goto Settings -> General -> About -> Magic Keyboard is does show the following:

Manufacturer: Apple Inc
Serial number: …
Firmware version: 0450.0523.0200
Hardware version: 0009

Does that mean its deffo an official product?

Is there more than one version of this keyboard?

Oh right, I have an M2 iPad Pro 11inch…there should have been another one I got?
How can I find the details of the two models so I make sure I get the right one?

If it fits it’s fine.

The only reason I would change it is if you’ve been charged full price for it.

JL was selling them at a discount of around £150 (I think) when the new ones were released.

There’s only .5mm a difference between the two.

If you’re paying full price why not just buy directly from apple? The whole point of buying else where is to to either save money, get extended warranty or they’re not in stock with apple.

Just return it and get it directly from apple and you’ll have piece of mind. :)
