I am bored of my current game selection again haha. Almost finished ME1, not played Dark Souls for a couple of weeks now...

I want some insane RPG/Action adventure magic battles!

I thought Two Worlds 2 would be pretty good but apparently not? Thoughts?

My requirements are it has to be fairly new, nothing like Balders Gate 2.

Also, if I can use my 360 controller I will love it even more as then I get to play it on the sofa via the 50" plasma :D

Dragon Age?...can't use a controller though.

I have been looking in to Divinity 2: Developers Cut, which seems like a bit of an underrated game, might be worth a look

No to Skyrim as I have sunk hundreds of hours into it and I always felt magic was just not as fun, even with mods.

It's difficult to recommend games with Wizardry when you've written off the most successful fantasy based RPGs of all time :P

Two Worlds 2 has its flaws, but I think it's a pretty good first-person RPG, and probably its biggest selling point is its unique magic system. If it's magic your after that's a good one.

Rather than a pre-selection of spells like most systems, you put together your own from a selection of magic effect cards that you can find or buy in the game world. It means you have to experiment a bit, but it gives magic a depth you don't find in many other RPGs.

I also liked being a water mage in Gothic 3 (with ultimate community patch). Here if you build carefully you can end up with a very powerful magic user who can single-handedly battle an entire city, although whilst there's some variety in the magic, compared to TW2 it's mostly just "start with a big explosion and then pew-pew with the same ice spell until everyone is dead."

The Witcher 2?

I believe that has controller support and is an awesome action adventure RPG....you can specialise Geralt into a Magic tree.

And is fairly new with visuals that will match any modern next gen game.
