Magic Mouse alternatives

I got my iMac destop and Magic Mouse. But to be quite honest, I am using my PC more than the Mac. One reason I think is that I find the Magic Mouse really unergonomic.

My PC mouse is a £10 TeckNet thing and its super comfortable. I would have expected more from the Magic Mouse, to be honest.

I use Parallels and Windows. The Magic Mouse is good for swiping between OSX and Windows, so for that is good. Also, going to previous web pages using swipe left. Nice touch. To be honest though, the buttons on my cheap mouse are just as good.

With this in mind, are there any good mice for use with the iMac desktop?

I worry about compatibility and also how will I get to my Windows screen without the two finger swipe on my Magic Mouse?

Thanks,

Jon

Any multi-button mouse that you like, coupled with either the standard control software and drivers, or Steermouse, to get some useful shortcuts.

I had the same problem, the MM really isn't nice to use. Ended up back with a MS Business mouse 4000 never looked back.

I've got a Razer Orochi. Works well with OSX, even if the Synapse software leaves a little to be desired.

Jon123456 and K@rl, how long have you used the Magic Mouse? I felt the same coming from 3 Logitech mice. MX1000, MX Laser and Revolution.

Then after a few weeks it was like all I used. Everything else feels strange, chunky and heavy. However, batteries are poor for the Magic Mouse. Then I went to rechargeable then jumped to the mobee charger.

I use a Puk wrist rest which makes using the MM nicer, although I use the trackpad concurrently as well (got a Bullettrain Express dock for the keyboard/trackpad to make it look/feel like a MBP).

It's not at all ergonomic for people with big hands or long fingers. I refuse to use the damn things at work. Not to mention that I find wireless peripherals a pain in the rectum.

I've got the trackpad and a Logitech Performance MX, I switch between the 2 as and when I feel.
