magic mouse not behaving as it ought to...

hi all, anyone have the problem where their magic mouse doesn't respond to basic left clicks? Mine seems to miss about 40-50% of clicks at the moment (started today) and it's damn annoying. It's in every program. Tried a reboot and changed batteries. Is it a familiar problem? Any thoughts?

hmmmn i think i may have fixed it. I just clicked 'aggressively' several times whilst gripping it off the desk and it seems to have cleared up the problem!
