So I'm new to apple and no hater but the magic mouse, really.... It seems awful. My basic HP mouse on my pc is more responsive.

I may have missed something but I've set the tracking to the highest it can be. The acceleration seems to be the problem. Any suggestions how to sort this?

Get used to it!

I literally am unable to do anything with a Mac that has the tracking set to the highest point, it is ridiculous and uncontrollable.

A lot of Windows types struggle with acceleration at first, but honestly, put it back to where it started and give it a bit more time. You get used to doing a big flick to 'travel' long distances, and having proper control when you need it.

Otherwise there is software that can disable it, but I'm unsure if you can disable it for the Magic Mouse itself. I know Logitech's software can turn it off.
