Does anyone use one of these?
I decided to include one along with the Magic Mouse 2 when configuring the purchase of my new iMac. I personally like it and find it quite useful.

I was just wondering what your thoughts are on the use of one.

Yeah its really good. I've replaced a magic mouse with it and it takes a few weeks to adjust to it but seems to be better for my wrist. The taptic feedback is utterly amazing as well. You genuinely can't tell if you are physically clicking a button.

I bought the original trackpad when they were first released and can't imagine using my iMac any other way. I looked at the Magic Trackpad 2 and decided to give it a miss because the price was so high. I'm in GU at the moment so it's a bit less expensive (I can't say "cheaper") and might just pick one up.

I got one.

Genuinely didn't realise how different it would look, I don't think I've seen a picture of the old and the new next to each other.

Do you feel any real improvements? I never got the original as I didn't like the higher angle and AA batteries it used, so I've been using a Logitech T651 trackpad for Mac with micro-usb charging.

It doesn't quite as nice feeling as real Apple macbook trackpad, but before Magic Trackpad 2 I thought of it as a decent alternative. And it was cheap compared to the real deal. (~30eur)

Is the new one worth it compared to the old one?

I love mine and it completely replaced my magic mouse. Took a little time to get used to it instead of a mouse but now I am just as quick with it.

I was in an Apple Store yesterday and had a play about with the trackpads in there. I was very impressed with them albeit I only got a chance to use them briefly. They were a good size and very responsive. I'll be looking to get one but I haven't seen the price yet!
