US: Magicians

I'm really enjoying this. Has a lot of potential and they have grounded it very well in reality along with decent acting on the most part and the more mature nature. I had a very odd, almost spooky introduction to this.

I was a big Alan Rickman fan and watched a bunch of his films in the week following his death but had never seen the Harry Potter movies as generally thought they were aimed at a younger audience but decidex to blaze through them in a week. Did it, finishing on Sunday, thought they were alright, some good elements (I love good world building, which they did very well) but told a friend that I wish there was a more 'adult' version. This premiered that night!

I'm enjoying it too, it's different and I like the way that most of them are in a kind of grey area rather than being polarized as totally good or totally evil. The fact that it has already been renewed for season two helps, in that I don't have to be concerned that they will cancel it before it gets going, which they seem to do far too often on US TV.

Bah feel the need to bump this :p

Seems like not enough people watching yet despite watching so many shows each week this has hit the top of my most anticpated.

It isn't a perfect show and certainly Ep 2 and 3 could put off a few people due to the slow nature but how detailed the world is plus the darkness of it all makes me want to see how things unfold.

For anyone who has seen the latest ep:

Well I didn't think they would go that dark but certainly add's a true evilness to the villain you don't usually get. And shame that we won't get to see much of Esmé Bianco anymore, dieing a very Game of Thrones style death :D

I think Alice made most males touch their pee pees this week and I have to say, Julia fills the Princess Leia slave costume very nicely too. :D
