Magicka online play help

Wonder if anyone can help me here, I have 2 pc's at home both wired to a router. Both PC's have a steam account on them, one mine, one the gf's and both have magicka.

The trouble is when we go to play it, as soon as the second PC starts, it causes the other PC game of magicka to crash to desktop. Does n't matter which PC is used to host the game. I have configured steam to a different port on the second PC but that did nt help.

Anyone got any ideas for a fix?
 
Could try the old verify game cache trick?

Right click the game in steam library > properties > local files > verify integrity of game cache.

Worth a shot.
 
Didn't quite crash to desktop but first attempt at me and a friend playing last night caused some issues. The screen would black out for 5 minutes then flicker on then go off again. Once it did actually close and I had to restart.

This was all during the tutorial. Once we got through there it was perfectly fine.

Maybe worth trying doing adventure mode each until you reach the save checkpoint. Activate this then try.

Maybe different but the tutorial was causing issues for us

Problem is as soon as one pc goes online with the game the other pc just crashes to desktop as soon as that magicka game goes online.
