Think it would be safe to stick these on the back of the L connect controller box and not cause any damage,im not keen on just using the double sided sticky tape.

Personally think it would be fine
Was actually going to glue magnets on mine
But decided to keep the 4 hot swap bays
So didn't have a spot where I could stick it with magnets in the end up
Or tape so it's just hanging in there with the other cables instead
Just my opinion
For a definitive answer emailing lian li would be an idea
But other control boxes do have magnets on them
And the magnetic led strips in my build seem not to have any effect
When I shoved the excess next to the controller
Can't blame you for not using the tape
Usually stuff falls off after varying lengths of time
Other options
Hot glue gun it on?
Use a few dabs of silicone to stick it on?
Sticky velcro it on I have some of that and it sticks like ####
No way its ever falling off

Thanks I hate the double sided sticky tape like you say it can be good or rubbish, will give it a go and see.
Found out that this control box is meant to be magnetic, the pad that comes with it but minw was sticky both sides.

That's peculiar
I actually got 2 at same time
Just in case one ever failed since can't be without
The 9 fans plugged into it
They're both the same sticky not magnetic
As one got bricked during firmware flash
I opened the second one while waiting
for lian li support
**** up at the factory I guess
Though that should answer its safe to stick
Magnets onto them question at least
